Shauna Garrett
Vice President, Finance & AdministrationShauna joined DRS in 2001, when her husband’s medical school residency brought her to the Kansas City area. Shauna’s original function was as controller, but she has recently moved into an advisory position. Shauna’s current functions include technical support, error correction and training.
The foundation of Shauna’s previous experience is in the construction industry, having worked for a key general contractor in California and over five years as accounting manager for a premier painting contractor in San Antonio. Other experience included management of a prominent health club and as a facilitator for graduate school admissions.
Mrs. Garrett received an Associates degree in accounting from Diablo Valley College and is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Information Technology. She is also pursuing professional credentials, including Certified Management Accountant and Certified Financial Accountant. In addition, she has also taken several computer related courses and is proficient in multiple software applications, as well as network and computer assembly, installation, maintenance and repair.
Mrs. Garrett and her husband Brian have three daughters.
Shauna is an accomplished practitioner and trainer in the use of Yardi Voyager management software.
