Elisa L. Edwards, ARM, CPM
Vice President, Property ManagementElisa joined DRS in April 2003 serving as Property Manager for a luxury community, The Dunes at St. Andrews Apartments, in Overland Park, Kansas. She also serves as the Tax Credit Advisor for Section 42 and Section 8 properties for DRS. In January of 2005, Elisa was promoted to Vice President of Property Management and oversees the management policies and procedures in addition to marketing for all properties in the DRS portfolio.
Elisa's prior experience includes the 1994 conversion of a market rate property to a LIHTC compliant property. She administered all of the conversion documentation required to become compliant with Section 42 laws. Elisa's previous experience also includes 3 years at a conventional property in Shawnee, Kansas in addition to her management of a 3 tower, 10 story high rise on the Country Club Plaza, where she increased occupancy by 24% over a 9 month period. Elisa has managed The Dunes at St. Andrews while overseeing more than 1000 units in Dallas, Texas. In January of 2007, Elisa left on-site management and now works full time at the DRS corporate office. She supervises The Dunes at St. Andrews, The Dunes at City Center, The Dunes at Eastland Center, The Dunes at Falcon Valley, Four Seasons and The Dunes at Richland Oaks.
Elisa attended Purdue University, pursuing a degree in Business Management. She is an active member of The Institute of Real Estate Management and The Apartment Association of Kansas City and has earned the designation of Accredited Residential Manager. Elisa was awarded Property Manager of the year from The Apartment Association of Kansas City in 2003 and has now earned the CPM designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management.
